At seminar they said BMI over 40 wouldn't have to wait......
I like your friend's quote it is inspiring.....as for the going around the waiting we don't have the funds to do so. I wi**** was that simple for me. I'll pray for you that everything goes smoothly next month for you![]()
Thank you for taking the time to encourage me and let me know of additional options.
keep your eye on the prize, we'll all get there!
I took a loan from my 401k, I don't have a lot of cash sitting around these days. BUT- we either pay for surgery in two ways right- time or money.
Just focus on the blessing of having the ability to have surgery without having to pay, and consider each month a "payment" of time instead of dollars. See you on the losers bench hun, keep your head up ![]()

When all was said and done I still paid about $5k even with insurance and had to wait the 6 months to boot. The only reason it was a good thing was I had 6 months to save the money, but I'm wishing I looked into the Mexico option a little more now!

Hi, I had to wait 6 months too. And I wasn't allowed to miss one month or I would have to start all over again. The 6 months went by fast and after all was done I was grateful for those months. During the weight management I learned so much that helps me now and will help me with my journey in the future. I know people that have gone right in for the surgery and 3 to 4 months after they have no clue on how they are suppose to eat or what. They end up stretching their pouch and causing damage in some cases. I did tell the Nutritionist that I thought waiting was a good idea but I think 4 months would have been long enough. Sometimes I wonder if the insurance companies do 6 month hoping we will give up just my opinion. Any way good luck with your journey.
