Constipation 2 weeks post op HELP!!!

I HAVE BEEN CONSTIPATED FOR 2 DAYS.  I GET A LITTLE OUT HERE AND THERE, BUT THAT'S IT.  I'M STAYING FOR UNCOMFORTABLE. 

It helps if you tell us which surgery you have had.

Have you tried Miralax?  It's odorless, tasteless, and it work.  I just put it in my coffee each morning.  Works like a charm!  After things get moving, you can cut back a little on the dosage or take it every other day or whatever works for you.  Walmart carries a generic brand called Clearlax. Works just as well.  Good luck.

Try an OTC stool softener as well as more water.  I've also found the Miralax to be great for maintaining BM flow, but if you want quick relief, there's nothing like good ol' Milk of Magnesia.

I know others are suggesting different types of laxatives in your water... but just how much water are you drinking? Are you drinking your 64 ounces of water yet?

I didn't poop until 9 days post op and Googled everything to help me go and stumbled upon Squatty Potty's website and what I did was use a step stool and did the same thing the squatty potty does is to help you squat and I was finally able to go. Miralax helped me few days afterwards but discovered that if I eat a container of Tree Top no sugar added apple sauce it helps me poop every day.

Post surgery i was dealing with major constipation. I went ten days without going. This continued for a while. I am finally starting to get regular. I was prescribed amatiza and take colace twice a day. Definitely make sure you get enough water. Currently I am going aout once every three days. This was the worst side effect from the surgery.
