Family and Friends

My family visits the hospital in large packs of people.  We don't care that the sick person is not able to socialize, we socialize with each other in the family waiting room.  When my husband was spending his last days in hospice, I had a room next door to his hospital room set up with food, water, coffee, and soft drinks.  Trays of sandwich fixings, salads, desserts.

I sort of tricked everyone.  My surgery was scheduled for December, there was an opening from a cancellation in October and I just went and had the surgery and told everyone after I was back home.
