Chick-fil-A Smells like Victory!
I was out running errands today and it was dinner time and everybody was hungry. I knew Chick-fil-A had grilled chicken nuggets (skipped the sauce), but I didn't know they had a "superfood side salad". OMG it was so good. I felt a tiny bit worried about the dried cherries in it at first - 11 g of sugar with the dressing (I didn't think to ask for it on the side this time), but it didn't cause me any problems. (YMMV) That with a diet lemonade (which I saved for later) and I was so happy and full and it felt good to feel like I could eat out someplace, make good choices, and feel good about it too. We ate in, I took my time and wasn't tempted by the fries the kiddo got at all (fries are over-rated anyway)! It was my first time not eating at home since surgery. Plus I have a 2 nuggets and a bite of salad for snack tonight.

A 6 count Chick-fil-a Grilled Nuggets kids meal is my go to meal after the gym. It is 8:00 when I leave there and I know I wouldn't make good choices when I come home. I get the small fruit cup as my side and that is a nice treat since I don't eat fruit every day.

They also have a 4 count grilled nugget box which is perfect for me for a lunch. It will be my go to place when I visit the city. There are none around here. I also have to note that the shop I visited in Mechanicsville, VA had the most polite and professional staff I have ever encountered in a fast food restaurant. And the place was spotless!

It absolutely is my new favorite place to grab a quick bite. I didn't really ever go before surgery but now it's the only place I want. It's easy to make the right decisions there and is so bariatric surgery friendly.
