What do you look forward to post wls?
1) Amusement park rides where I fit in the seats
2) Flying...without a seatbelt extender or overflowing into neighbors seats
3) I have no kids, but I have never been to Disney World or Universal, I want to do both!
4) Shopping without getting out of breath, red-faced, and sweating!
5) Zip lining
6) Longer life span because I finally unloaded the weight that was slowly killing me!
Four things stand out most for me.
The first would be my first love...horseback riding. I was raised on a horse farm and haven't been on one since 1985. After that I felt I was too heavy and would cause the horses distress or discomfort.
Two...being able to move my arms without sweating like I was in a sauna for an hour.
Three...buy clothes I like, not just the ones that fit.
And fourth...live long enough to enjoy my grandchildren. My only child turns 25 on Monday and I was never really able to play with him, my weight was always an issue. But if and when he has kids, I am going to make up time.

Multnomah Falls. Pre-WLS I couldn't get to the top. I had to stop half way. This summer, I'm seeing the falls from above.
Yesterday, my daughter forgot her phone, and I ran down the street to catch her before she got on the bus. I ran nearly a quarter of a mile without a thought, and when I got there, I wasn't even out of breath...I walked back marveling at the fact that I wasn't winded. That's something I wanted to do: take care of my kids without my weight getting in the way.

No one surgery is better than the other, what works for one may not work for another.

I ride a dual sport motorcycle. I'm looking forward to being more agile while riding off-road so I can keep up with my husband and friends better.
