Hi everyone,

I just had bariatric surgery 6 months ago and am currently in the maintenance phase. I have found that despite changing my diet and exercise routine, I still have trouble controlling my eating habits and staying motivated to exercise.

I would like to ask you:

Any tips for maintaining healthy eating habits long-term?

What are some ways to control cravings or deal with food cravings?

What are some good workout tips for maintaining weight without feeling overwhelmed?

I would love to hear from you guys if you have any personal experiences or resources, or tools that have helped you. I would appreciate any practical, concrete advice from the community!

Hi Tony and WELCOME !!!

Were SO happy 2 meet U ! Im sure others will have many more tipz but

1) movement matters - much more than what U eat I find .

That doesnt mean I deliberately make bad choices jes that my tiny tummy means reasonableness ( like eating some fat n not ridgidly dieting constantly like 14 years ago pre op when I was making my living from modeling n acting )

2) vites- particularly non elemental iron n vitamin C every single day r super important mostly 2 keep up Ur energy n long term health . NOT worth slacking on this !

3) springing Ur skin back into shape as U reduce is HUGE . U dont want 2 feel nor ever hav 2 feel like a " melted candle " .

If U work out , use 2% salycylic acid ( inexpensive ) bodywash every time U shower n bathe ..Neutrogena sells a great grapefruit scented acne scrub available in any drugstore for $7.99 !

Ull look great in a swimsuit - super hott even in six months time :)

Dont forget U have LOTS going 4 ya in th beauty dept- nice long neck n probably good posture - great big far set cow eyes that photograph beautifully - hopefully an amazing head of hair even!!

AND Ure probably super tall which very much attracts th ladiez lol

U asked 4 workout tips ... Im ( still) a certified personal trainer ...

Swimming n walking r WONDERFUL U cant hurt Urself with those n they also calm Ur mind ...

I highly recommend beach walking and yoga too.

Personally Im a horse archery n gymnastics person so I jes have tot fun on the big backs of galloping beautiful horses and then I get 2 draw them !!!

Holy cow what a treat ! It really helps too that Im jockey- weight ( if much taller ) and that I never need or want a saddle or any gear.

The thoroughbreds so appreciate running free I think the trainers imagine Im some kind of horsey therapist ... nah they cure me lol!
