Weight lifters!! What you pullin?

All my peeps that do strenght training - what weights do you pull?

Lower body - I use 70-80 on barbell squats, 160 leg press, 80-100 calves
Upper body - 20lb barbells for shoulder press, 75 lat pull down, 70 seated row

What are you using??????  I am curious!!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I am a baby meaning that I just started working out with weights about two months ago.

Lower body-130 on leg press, 50 barbell squats, 70 calves
Upper body- 15 pounds barbells for shoulder press, 70 lat pull down

that ain't no baby work!!!!  you rocking it! 

make sure you challenge yourself EVERY week - don't just get comfy with a certain weight - the more you push - the greater the reward!!!!

Damn I feel like I am sleeping over here.  OK you got me beat I think.

Lower body - I use 35lbs each hand dumbell squats, 308 leg press, dumbells 45lbs each hand on calves I don't use those dumb machines

Upper body - 22 lbs dumbells for shoulder press, 66 lbs lat pull down, 55 lbs seated row

But you missed one what about the all important bench press and bicep curl hello lady??????

Bench 68 lbs Bicep curl  22lbs

I will be adding weight every week so I hope I can beat you at some point.

Umm - how you figure I got YOU beat - only on lat pulldown and seated row!  Otherwise you are whippin MY azz!!!!  LMAOOOOO

I don't bench press or bicep curl - the program I am on has me doing exercises that target multiple muscle groups - like the lat pulldown works biceps as well as lats - so I don't do what the book calls 'small muscle group' focused exercises. 

when I was doing bicep curls tho - i used the 30lb bar.  Never been a bench presser tho - I don't like to ask for mofos to spot me. 

do you only do the barbell squats?  ever use the bar?

I keep my bench light for now.  I have never done a barbell squat....same reason as you I don't want to ask for help.  Don't want folks thinking I'm weak.

I do dumbbell squats which is basically holding the weights like grocery bags you know.  I have been considering trying them though using the smith machine.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

the barbell squats are cool if you use the rack - that way you can rotate the bar and have the ledge catch the weight for you - no need for a mofo to help you out.
