Upper Body:
- 45 pounds on the bench press (and that is up from seriously struggling with 30#s in the beginning, so Im happy for the improvement)
- 60 pounds on lat pull
- Only 10 pounds on free weights (and that is up from beginning at 5#s, lol)
Lower Body: I dont really do lower body as much as upper, but that is b/c I've always felt I had more leg strength than upper body (from spin w/lots of resistance, steep inclines on the treadmill). But I try to get legs in once a week.
- 100 #s on leg press
- 80 #s on calves
How much time do you guys spend on weights? I still primarily focus on cardio, but try to lift for 20 mins about twice a week, three times if Im really feeling myself (HA).
Great job, ladies!
Hey Nicci! You doin it!!! Good job!!!
i lift 3xs a week - 45min per session, no cardio. HATE cardio. 'Hampster time' is what I call it.
You should work your upper and lower body equally. Leg muscles are a major group within the body that when developed, will burn calories on their own - outside of cardio. the more muscle you have, the higher resting metabolic rate you have - and the less cardio you HAVE to do if you want to lose.
I do a full body routine each day - I used to rotate upper body Tues, lower body Thurs and full body Sat - but work all them areas out girl!
