Allthough I didnt like the fact that Chris quit his job and let down the people who were trying to help build him back up....I do understand not making enough money to pay the bills or buy groceries......the situation put him into to survival mode, and he reverted back to the one thing he knew well......and his actions wernt beccause of greed but because of need.

Overall I loved the Show..... I always liked Tyler Perry but now I have new found appreciation for him because he came up gutter too. .... the doctors ....the married couple .....the charter school

I takes alot to know how to hold and keep a job..navigating office politics and keeping your cool ( every job has them from McD's to corporate)..work ethics and ettiqute (sp) and if you've never held a 9-5, some people will struggle working in mainstream society....and say f-it! I can make a couple of hundred and easier way.

Hey FS:
I totally agree with you...that is why it is so difficult trying to train women who have been a part of the Welfare System for years how to work. Working is not just about the skills to do the job. I often tell young people that first you will just learn to work (get up in the morning, prepare yourself-mentally and emotionally, learn the basics of a job, be where you are suposed to be-when you are suposed to be there...), then as time goes on they will learn to work well. Even people just out of college or professional/graduate school have to learn these steps to learning to work well. Work Ethic is the key and that's about desire and to some extent upbringing.

Hey MM:
I thought it was a good program. It will Re-Air Sat and Sunday at 8 PM. I can't wait to see Latino in America...I am so interested in diversity and I really want to know what Latino's believe is important, NOT what white people think is important to them.

I knew that the guy from prison was going back...there was something about the way he talked about having a pocketful of money, and when he quit his job, I knew that was it. It wasn't that he was taking on too much right out of prison-which he was...but there is a whole philosophy that invades the criminal mind. Excuses, excuses, excuses is all he could come up with about quiting his job. Just like the key to stemming obesity is to get people when they are toddlers and teach them good eating habits, the same is true with a work ethic.

About the exercise in schools...ain't that OLD News. I know when I was in school we had a recess period; when I got to "Junior High and Senior High" we had Gym Class. I had Recess, Gym, rode bikes, skates, climbed trees, played basket ball, ran My ass off (to the point NOW I have arthritic hips), played tennis, played so much as a kid that I would sweat like a thoroughbred horse...BUT I STILL GOT FAT!

I lost over 200 lbs. in a year when I was younger, NO WLS, NO EXERCISE...It was all about how much and the type of foods I ate. Teaching kids and adults to exercise is good, but exercise is NOT the reason we lose weight or maintain wt loss...Wt Loss and Maintenence is about NUTRITION (the resting Body will burn about 2000 cal per day doing NOTHING but functioning.) Exercise is good support for all round Wellness (and a Body does not need much, if you do an hr worth of execise and burn 300 cal, you will need 600 cal to restore your Body), but the Primary focus of Wellness and Physical Health is Nutrition (as someone said FOOD IS OUR Medicine!) Some doctors recommed that obese persons NOT exercise until they have lost a substantial amt of wt because it will hinder wt loss, even cause the appitite to increase. Nutrition is the Key with some supportive exercise (and we need to teach them that as they age, their Nutrition must change as well as their exercise/activities)

I feel you on the Chris thing - he did have that money 'lust' thing about him.  He just didn't persue the right avenue.  I have an ex con homie that owns a trucking business.  He stashed away some of his $$ before he went in the pen and used it as seed money when he came out.  He brings in good $$ - has a lot of expense, but it's honest work and keeps him on the straight and narrow.  He doesn't have all the fancy things he used to have, but he's got his freedom and it's worth more to him than anything.

funny thing is that he doesn't have kids - it's just him.  I would think a bruh that just got himself would be more prone to cut the fool - but Chris had kids to consider and still messed up.  Or maybe that's the thing that makes you desperate.

Ionknow the right answer at all!

Girllll, I was right there with you on Chris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I just couldn't wrap my brain around his actions.  Just such a waste, such a waste.....

Yes, the entire ex-con this is very complicated.  I've had to deal with it on a very personal level..........

I was glad to see that couple pull it back together.

Seems like I saw something about a movie with Chris Rock & hair. some kind of comedy.  Not sure if it was a commercial or part of that program.  anyhoo.........................I think the concept is good, but would rather see it in a more documentary type format, rather than kinda
baffonish (sp?)
