Totally off topic -Avatar

I have been trying to upload a photo for my Avatar.  And everytime I think I have it resized and just right....I am still too big.  Like I haven't heard that before...lol! 

Any suggestions?

Here's what I do
Google pic resize
Upload a phtot
Change the pixel size to 100 by 100
Then save and upload that as you avatar

 I did it when I started my page but since then I've tried to change my Avatar but it's not taking.
