Sometimes changing things around helps in losing. There's been times I ate terrible and was surprised that I lost.

Hi. I just got my surgery date of October 4th and I am planning on having DS surgery. When I met with the surgeon he was just a little non commital on being 100% sure he could complete full surgery if there was a lot of scar tissue. I've had two c-sections, one above my belly button and a second emergency one straight up and down on my lower abdomen. That one opened up and I had a wound Vac for almost two months. So there is a lot of scaring. He basically said he would try for full DS and if not go for the SADI or just a sleeve. If I didn't loose enough I could have a second surgery :( not a fan of that idea. I guess it's all about time and tolerating surgery.
I REALLY want the DS but I would settle for the SADI. I noticed a lot of people have diets before surgery. We only have two weeks before surgery but I am planning two try to do four weeks, just to get my liver down as much as possible. It's taken a long time to get to this point and I am super excited. A little scared too but so very excited!
Sometimes I don't get the losses or maintenance that happens. I lost 4 pounds last week and 3 pounds this week - which is so great! But I ate out twice this week (randomly, I go out to eat MAYBE once a month usually). So I was pretty sure I probably didn't lose anything. I made good decisions and had salad with protein each time but I was still really surprised.
Lately I'm dreaming of the fact that I'm less than 20 pounds from an actual normal BMI. My BMI was 63 when I began, how is this real life? That's an actual question I think a lot anymore!

My doctor did it. Kind of wish he hadn't. The incision is by far the most tender, the area above it tender to the slightest touch and it's not agreeing with my post WLS diet. Keep a bathroom near by.
This is so inspirational, thanks for the post!

My first time posting...hi everyone!
Highest weight: 339 February 2016
Surgery weight: 305 6/29/2016
(When I got home from surgery, I weighed 311 - yep, a six pound gain)
Last week weight: 271
This week weight: 270
My eating plan and activity was actually great this week but my son left for college and my mom has been ill so it was a stressful week. That cortisol from stress holds on to my weight terribly. Hopefully next week will be better. If you pray, please pray for me :)
