Hi Guys!
Ok- I have a sobering reality. I've gained 6# from my comfort zone over the past 2 months. It's not fluctuations, it's an upward trend and its not acceptable!! Year 3 is truly a miserable *****
What I'm learning from year 3-- there is no wiggle room. I need to be on point, all the time. Bites, licks and tastes i'd been getting away with are adding up now. I now need to sketch out my meals the night before too. I tend to throw a lot of things in my lunch bag and when I add them up later I'm like
. What I'm doing well: tracking- even when its bad; weighing daily, not drinking calories, not eating candy, meeting protein goals & exercise. What I need to nip: snacking. Sometime it's too many plan friendly snacks- sometimes it's just carb crazy snacks.
Today I felt a bit morose when I held back from giving in @ the times I usually feel Snackish. The crab is my zodiac sign-- guess it's fitting for the mood I'll be in for the next few days.

Another bad week. Hopefully vacation helps next week.
For me I think it was a combo of cutting out the bars and shakes too- face it they are processed no matter what. Worked for weight loss not so much for maintenance. There is the LCHF Keto people that think you should have 80% fat...but that is just too much for me. I still want to get at least 100g protein. I had been hanging in the 50-75g carb range so cutting back to 30 made a difference too... When you do MFP and at the bottom of your diary click the nutrion button one of the tabs shows your macros.. as long as the fat is over 50%- that was what I was going for. Added avocado, bacon, butter and the coffee...
Funny I always said for me during WLoss that adding fat helped break a stall...
Your mileage may vary :)
I am heading into shoulder surgery next week so bars and shakes may make a comeback for convenience...
Oh and Paris- Go if you can. I am in love!

Wow, that's a big result from those changes! That's interesting. I'm going to remember that. I need to mention that to hubby- he's trying to lose weight right now.
Your Paris pics were awesome! I loved them and I was supposed to go for the first time this year but it never panned out so I'm jealous lol. I'm glad you had a wonderful time and didn't have a bad scale result!

I am REALLY excited for your plastics! I can't wait for you to get the results you want.
Mans I always expect to gain weight on vacation anymore but so far so good - I really think it's all the walking we're able to do now to counteract the extra eating :)

Yes cafes and aimless walking are the best.... so enjoyed both. Saving my red number for Photo Friday on the menu board... but am posting a Paris before and after for transformation Tuesday on Instagram...

Welcome back! I loved seeing your pics on Instagram! Between you and JB, I've got a serious case of Paris envy! I was there in 2004. I need another hit. We're planning on Germany for Christmas, to see family. And thinking of a side trip someplace. I think it should be Paris now. My hesitation is that although my hubby is awesome as a travel buddy, he doesn't get cafe culture. Or aimless walking... two of my top European activities hahahah.

I can't wait for updates! Between your post, and mutes, and my recent stall/ loss situation, I would insert the shrug emoji if OH supported it! Hahahah
I cannot crack the code of predictable weight loss!

Hey friends- haven't posted on here in awhile so thought I'd update....
I had been complaining I was hanging higher than I wanted, I consider my goal range +/- 165 and to at least stay in the 160's ...I kept popping into the low 170's and jumping around too much ever since the Holidays. Have been under a lot of stress on many fronts...so Life.
If you follow me on the menu Board I am a like a human experiment on myself...changing one thing up a week to see if it makes a difference. So starting May 1st I decided to go higher fat, and started adding MCT oil (Liquid Coconut oil) to my morning Fairlife milk + coffee latte, (I emulsify it in with a stick blender-FYI) as well as cutting my net carbs down to 30- fiber being from veggies, not quest bars or anything... and I lost 10lbs in 10 days- and that was not with particularly cutting calories. had a few high days a few low days but averaging pretty normal for me...
So that put me at low end of my maintenance zone 163- I added back in a few carbs and maintained that for 10 days before my Paris trip- that is huge for me, the bouncing was driving me crazy....
So MaryAnn kept saying Paris is magic for the scale- and I guess it is... very happy with this morning's weight after drinking wine and champagne, eating croissants, baugettes and french fries...not too many sweets...but a few... and lots of walking 6-8 miles a day. Back to normal routine today :) No Paris magic in NY.....

One week to go! And, shockingly, I didn't gain weight in NYC from all of the eating.. I'm still surprised by that, since I ate a LOT.
