I am not in my happy place with my weight... My official weigh day is Wednesday... but it seems if I wait I forget to post....

I don't feel I am off the rails in anyway ...but I was sitting on the high end of my maintenance range, and my girlfriend asked me to go out to dinner Saturday for salad and pizza... salad and one slice of pizza up three pounds the next day. Really? That is why I don't like sitting at the high end...

That being said, I always say this is not a diet, it is life so you just keep pushing forward...

I guess what is bothering me is in November and December I was pretty steady- 165, 166, 167, 166.... since Christma**** having my son and family here for 2+ weeks, then one sickness after another, GERD acting up and my weight has been fluctuating wildly... from 165-172...sometimes Within the same week... Big fluctuations aren't good... want to get back to normal fluctuations within a couple of pounds. I am tall so I can gain 5lbs and no one notices and my clothes are fine... but I know, and face it I have a healthy fear of the slippery slope of regain.

Highest ever: 420+

Surgeon's consult: 383

Last week: ?? 168

This week: 171

Anything out of the 160's is my 'oh cr** ' number

Maintenance range +/- 165

Happy Monday weekly weighers,

Well, another week, another blechy weigh in for me....

i mean, two pounds, is two pounds gone for good, but I was spoiled the month of December! I'm sure it's just the way it goes, but I'm going to try and be a little more vigilant to see if I'm missing calories or carbs in my logging. See if there's room to tighten things up a bit.

I am happy my exercise routine is on point. And similar to other slow periods, I can tell I've lost inches, especially in my stomach and chest. Bye bye boobies....

HW: 378

LW: 269.5

TW: 267.5

Goals: under 267. Then, 253 which is 125 down. Then under 232, which is my lowest adult weight and the clinics estimate of where I'd land.

Can't wait to hear how you all are doing!

I hat when I do that. Getting too busy to actually pay attention is not good for me! Good luck this next week.

next goal: any loss will do

a maintain- basically the story of my most recent life. The  words of the vets are echoing in my head, 'if your maintaining when you want to lose your eating to many calories.' I'm trying to up my protein to 110g daily, so it does have my calories up a smidgen, but much more of my calories are coming from protein now. I'm giving it a week to see if I move on to a losing trend.

Today was total carb crash though. Though I'd packed my usual lunch- events at work were too hectic to stop and heat it-- and then I treated my staff to lunch. Stayed late and then caved to cereal (something I won't be byuying again for another long while) when I got home- overall to many carbs and my tummy feels icky now. I'll spend tonight recovering and will be back on track tomorrow.

Exercise is on point--- I really do love my routine.

Thanks! There's a lot of uncertainty in my life right now so I'm trying to focus on the things I have control of. Plus it seems like there have been a lot of posts recently about getting the weight off asap, maybe I'm just noticing them more, but I know that I will have a lot of regrets if I don't feel like I took full advantage of this time.

I hope you find some middle ground you're happy with soon!

i hear you though about finding the balance between indulgence and normal. Its different for me, because I'm still in losing mode, but I catch myself referring to "comfort food", or "cozy" . Like in today's menu, I was about to write that I wasn't sure what dinner was going to be, but because of the storm they are calling for, I will make something cozy. Which part of me panicked because I don't want to find comfort in food. But also, it's normal to want something like stew or thick soup etc. when there's a blizzard....
