Topic: Home needed for cat in So Cal
I have an adorable 5 1/2 year old male cat - declawed, neutered, up to date on all shots, healthy, and even has the "lo jack" chip implent in him. He is very sweet, just doesn't get along well with other animals. I am looking for an excellent home for him to go to - preferably one where he will not be alone most of the time like he is now. Email me if you are interested (I can email back a picture) or if you know of some place I can go to that will take him.

I have five cats with ages from 16 to 5 years old. Two of them decided they would come live with me, so they just showed up one day. We brought one from the elementary school my boys attended when they were little. It was a stray. Then we bought two Maine Coon cats. The two oldest kitties have health problems - heart, thyroid and are thinning out and slowing down. They are precious to me. Max, the 8 year old Maine Coon is a total nut and we love him to pieces. Oliver, the 5 year old MC is solid black and totally different from Max. We call him the silly cat. Emily is the stray we got at the school. She is 13 and we say she has consistent PMS. She loves to fight and constantly chases the elder cat, Dixie, who is 15. Emily is a very mean cat. But, she is like that family member that you just tolerate. I would certainly never give her away. Lewis is the eldest. He is solid gray. He was a feral cat when he showed up at my house. It took 3 years to tame him to even get him into the house. Then it was about 3 more years before anybody ever saw him but the immediate family members who lived in the house. He would dive under the bed if a visitor came by. Now he is a big ole baby and loves everybody who walks in the front door. All my cats are either neutered or spayed and are indoor cats. We have a huge screened in porch with two large cat trees and the cats stay out there a majority of the time watching the birds. We are surrounded by woods, so the porch feels like a tree house. The cats love it! PS We also have a puppy - a solid black mixed chow chow. He lives in our garage/workshop and outside all of the time. We never have had a dog, so he certainly is a new experience. He is just precious and we love him. My husband is retired, so he spends a lot of time with "Walker" and teaching him to mind and tricks. Carol L

I have 3 cats. One is a scottish van (white with an orange hat and butt) and 2 calicos. Love them all and wouldn't trade them for the world. They are all rescued kitties.

Hello hello! I just found this message board! I have four cats - one 9 year old calico, one 8 year old domestic shorthair, one 8 year old munchkin, and one 4 and half year old Cornish Rex. All are girls, all live inside, and all are spayed. Isn't it interesting that so many of us have cats & dogs? Valerie in Scottsdale

Hi Cheryl I suggest putting your cat on a high quality dry food. I use Solid Gold Catzen Flocken for my four cats. That's all they get. You can get it delivered to your home at gooberexpress.com. I hope Callie gets well soon. Valerie in Scottsdale

If I may ask, why did you have to give Lilly away when you were pregnant? Anita

My male cat has had problems for awhile now. He is on two prescripton foods one for bladder one for kidneys. I give him Laxatone for hair balls once in awhile. He too has lost weight, but at least he's using his cat box again. I had him on anti inflamatories and anti biotics for over a month. He is 11 years old now. He already had major surgery for a blocked bladder two years ago last month. We love him and we've had him since he was a baby, but his retirement years are a little rough on all of us. Hope your kitty is doing much better.
