Let's talk butt burn and TUCKS pads!
(Those of you *****member me from my active days of posting know I'm not shy.)
I'm here to say that Tucks pads are miraculous.
I just bought some for the first time because I had a serious case of butt burn during a recent trip (--> I hadn't eaten anything weird, but a change in routine sometimes throws me off, and I ended up on the toilet a lot, just ... expelling gas and, er, ahem, other stuff). I might just as well have eaten extra hot chiles, if you follow me.
So, never having bought any product of this nature, before or after my DS, I gave Tucks a try. Wiped with toilet paper, then a "moist towelette" (Scott's makes them, I know, as do others), and then I tucked a thin little Tucks pad up against the afflicted area -- and left it there.
OMG, virtually instant relief -- and this was after a couple of days of serious butt burn.
I would SO do an ad for that product, I can't tell you.
I'd blog about it, but even I have my limits.
Yesssss, Tucks pads are great. Not only do I use them for the occasional case of b-burn, but since the only chemical is Witch Hazel, I bought a bottle and put a bit in my bath water. Might be good for a sitz bath as well. Might be too much information, but if I notice I'm getting a little irritated, I it on my washcloth to was that area during my shower. It helps a lot during my monthly cycle. That's probably more than you wanted to know, but I love tucks pads and witch hazel.

Yes'm, I'm a believer in the Tucks myself. I also have to give a shout out for the tender soothing old reliable Prep-H ointment. It works for me....
Butt burn has been my most painful post op problem. It's such a small thing compared to what might have been and what has been for others. It's still a real pain and I'm glad for relief!

Thanks for the information. Jo
