Ok im having a lot of trouble finding jeans.  I am looking for TALL 6 jeans...no flares! I like boot cut or straight leg.  Im trying to avoid going to the expensive places like Lucky Brand Jeans...but dang..this shopping crap is supposed to be easier...or so i thought.  Any favorite brands? Stores? What kind of prices r we looking at?

Hi Hayley!  Another cute avatar!  I am tall also but I have found that not all tall sizes fit the same.  I do not have a clue where to find size 6 (LUCKY!) but I bet if you do an internet search for tall jeans you'd come up with good info. http://www.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=11748 is a link for gap tall jeans, and I know JCPenney sells talls and has a talls catalog but I'm sure you can find other more "hip" stores to shop.  I like online shopping but it sounds like you are wanting to go full out walking around trying on shopping so I hope you get some more replies.  Stacey and Clinton from "What Not To Wear" on TLC always say the leg of a jean should be slightly flared or wide, and not close fitting, so it balances out the hip, and they say straight leg jeans are out.  But that's just their opinion.

I definately like the boot cut the most.  Good to know straight leg is out, thanks!  Yeah i want to find a store where i can try them on...not sure if im even a 6 yet.  lol  I tried JCPenny tonight but couldnt find any talls...and it was so crowded being Saturday.  Ill try again during the week. Thanks again!

I am about the same height as you.  I have trouble finding jeans long enough, but not too long.  I just bought my first pair of gap jeans yesterday and they fit wonderful (I also bought a pair of kakhis).  They are having a sale right now on jeans, so I recommend going and trying on. Trudy

IMHO, it's going to be a long time before the straight leg, and skinny leg, are going to be out. They're just too flattering to so many body types.

Gap and Old Navy both sell tall or long inseam jeans.  You could go there and try on.  Enjoy!  It is something I look forward to doing again after surgery and dropping the weight.  Do it for all of us who cannot.  LOL!

Gloria Van Derbilt's (sp) at JC Penny's. They are about $25.00 a pair and (for me anyway) they fit really well everywhere they should. There's the bonus  in that they will ship to an APO address. Elizabeth From Houston, Working in Kuwait

Since you are not having to buy plus sizes (speaking of which, your weight loss ticker looks PHENOMENAL, and so do you) I'd go to Costco. $12.00 Kirkland jeans, buy the mens. My manta is "if Costco doesn't have it, I don't need it".

I am far from a size 6 YET!! But one of my things was that when I lost enough weight which I bought my first pair just a couple of weeks ago. Were "7" Jeans. They are a name brand jean and let me tell you they felt like heaven trying them on (which I fit into a 14!!). I bought mine at Marshalls. They cost me 29.99 but if you go into a designer store they can cost you over a 100.00. They were straight leg and comfortable......
