Golytely, Nulytely or Poo lytely!
It's bad, but it cleans your bowel out and in my mind if that makes surgery a little safer (less risk of infection) and easier for the surgeon then I think it's worth it. Pleasant? No way! But, it's totally something that can be gotten through to get the DS with a top notch surgeon like Dr. B. You can do it!
I tried to keep my poor sis in mind as she has had to have more than her share of golytely since she has to have yearly sigmoidoscopies. I considered myself fortunate that I only had to drink the nasty brew once whereas she has to have it once a year....ICK!

Dr. B. wants this done and I will do it.
I just wanted to see how bad this crap really is and what I can do to make it better. The Nulytely is by the same company and is a lot different in make up and low sodium and has flavor packs.
Has anyone had the Nulytely? I asked Dr. B's nurse about it and she looked at me like are you nuts? We are talking Dr. B here!

My loving wife, Robin had DS Sept. 30, 2008 and has lost about 130 lbs. also. Hey, thats 260 lbs. lost together. We lost a person in there somewhere.
