Fat roll under the boobies....

.......I was hoping that by 100# lost or so, it would just kind of slide down into the big pot of belly fat, but it is going nowhere!     Does it go away?  Will I have the deflated tummy skin AND a separate flab of hanging skin from this fat roll? What was your experience??

i have seen this addressed on plastic surgery TV shows, so it is something that happens.  the one i remember vividly, the woman had a tummy tuck and a breast lift.  neither would have completely resolved the upper tummy issue but with the combination of the two it was GONE.  couldn't tell it had ever been there. i'm expecting the upper tummy to be a problem for me as well.  good look, i hope with time it gets better.

Holly ~ You're getting so close to surgery -- how exciting!!!! This was good information, thanks.  I can'****ch those surgery shows; too graphic for me. Interesting that you mention the combination of the two procedures -- I had breast reduction surgery 5 years ago, and that is when I 'discovered' this fat roll.  So not kidding!  My breasts used to just rest on it, and I never really noticed it.  A couple months after that surgery, I sarcastically accused the surgeon of taking the tissue from my breasts and making the fat roll. Hoping your recovery is quick & easy, and we'll see you on the loser's bench in a week or so!

The answer for many is lipo.  You lose all over and if there is one particular place where you carry most of your weight, you will probably still have fat  left there when you are done losing. But wait and see.  You may be one of the lucky ones.

Thanks for responding, Patty. I can already tell that the little lipo wand is going to be busy the day I am scheduled!  The 'saddle bags' aren't going away either, but this area I was somewhat expecting. I got fat proportionally, so I was hoping that I would lose the same way -- not even close.  Not that I am complaining, I really do appreciate the smaller feet, ankles, wrists, fingers, neck, and face -- but it would nice if some of the more noticeable areas would deflate at the same pace!

I'm not there yet, but I see that being my problem area as well. It's larger than my lower stomach so I'm thinkin I'll probably have two flaps of excess skin. I'd love to hear if it eventually goes away as you get closer to goal. Tammy

Hi Tammy, As the weight falls off, it really is quite interesting to observe your body evolve.  During my weight stalls, my body literally adjusts proportionally -- it is fascinating. My list for the plastic surgeon keeps getting longer, but I think the priorities will change as I get closer to goal.  Half way in 6 months -- mind boggling really!
