Here I am!  Busy weekend, and we had reasonable temps & sun, so I was outside a lot.  Just trying to catch up, so let me know if I missed anything big.

Getting everything together for the pre-op test, evals are driving me crazy because everything is  thing takes so much time.   It will be so worth it.   Believe me I will have many questions for everyone.  I am anxious about my first WL Surgeon appt and more if BCN will approve it.  But I am a fighter when it comes to health insurance coverage.  Thank you for the warm welcome!!

Welcome Jill! We are happy you found us here and the DS! Please ask what ever questions you have, this group is happy to help.

Good luck with your research and journey towards getting your DS! It is the best WLS going, in my opinion.

Hi Jill!  I am hugely thankful for these big mouths on this board too!  I knew that RNY sounded bad, and the other options just didn't seem to be permanent.  I was so excited to hear about the DS!
Good luck getting all your ducks in a row.  I've just started a 6 month process to get mine.  It seems like decades away!
Started researching the DS in Dec 2008.  2 years and one baby later(my 3rd), I'm finally switched!

So funny you would say we are all so supportive.

Just today, it seems that a whole lotta folks over at the VSG forum thinks that the DS has turned us ALL into a bunch of *****es.  No joke ... They have a theory that the DS cuts a nerve and renders us unable to be polite, lol.

Personally, I think the folks over there on that board have a reading comprehension problem.  They don't understand the concept of Paying It Forward.  Glad you "got it"!!!

Anyway ... WELCOME!!  We are here to help you thru your journey.

I'm sure some of Kemmeter or Foote's patients will come along shortly ...

Hi Jaelie .        Welcome to the forum ..

I have not heard of Dr. Foote, although Dr. Kemmeter seems familiar ..   Is he new to DS?   What is his record as far as # of procedures, if you know?

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
