CARB Question? Net vs Reg
What is the difference between Carbs and Net Carbs? Which do we count? If we count Net Carb how do you determine the Net Carbs in an item? I have one other question about protein, how do you figure a protein count when you eat out if there is no nutrional count? Such as yesterday I ate about 8 popcorn shrimp (breading removed) but not sure how to count the protein since we were eating out. Thanks for all of you that answer!

Total carbs
- sugar alcohols (we don't absorb them)
- fiber (not absorbed)
____________
net impact carbs
Or I just count sugars since that's the only thing that can fatten me up again
Can't answer the protein, as I never count food protein at all.

since Michelle answered carbs I'll just tell you that I count approximately 7 grams of protein for each ounce I consume. Sometimes ya just gotta guess, otherwise get on sparkpeople.com or fitday or whatever you use and count it up when ya get home
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.
