Help with itch after surgery!!!

I need help!  Has anyone had Itch around the surgery area?  What can I do?  It is so unbearable!!!

It's probably just the normal healing process. Does the incision look red or puffy? Either way, call your doc and ask for something to help.

It's probably just a healing itch. If it isn't open, I used Benedryl spray on mine to stop the itching.

I have had horrible itching with all of my surgeries. It is the one thing I am not looking forward to.

Once my open incision was completely closed, I used Aveeno brand "cooling" lotion. Has menthol in it & takes away the itch.

Are you still taking any pain medications? I know for one that I think I am allergic to or highly sensitive to Loritab as it makes my whole body itch. Just one suggestion. That's the first thing that came to my mind.
