DaVinci chocolate syrup question

Is it supposed to be so liquidy, very thin? I put 3 tablespoons in my unflavored protein drink yesterday and hardly tasted the chocolate. I think I may need a 1/4 cup. But really, it is so thin. I can get Hershey's syrup SF, low carb, etc and it is just like Hersheys regular chocolate syrup. I shook the bottle several times and still thin. Am I missing something here?

Yes, it is supposed to be thin. It's not like regular chocolate syrup - it is only a flavoring. All of their flavored syrups (despite being called syrups) are thin like water. It allows them to mix more easily and not alter the texture of drinks that are not thick.

Oh, okay, thanx Jill. I was just wondering, and now I know, ha ha. I like my chocolate to taste very chocolaty so I may use more than some would.

I haven't used the chocolate, but all DeVinci syrups are more like water than "syrup."   They are more of a concentrated flavor.   It's kind of hard to get used to, isn't it?    I use them in drinks and cappucino, and I've just been recently adding a bit of the caramel to my Fage greek yogurt - with a handful of pecans or walnuts - OMG it's good.

yes, thin like water.

if you want thick, you want SAUCE. That's the one you must refrigerate. But it oozes from the bottle.

I had no idea. So you sell a chocolate "sauce" that is thick? I am just not used to the chocolate being like water consistency.

Well Hershey syrup is what I have always liked a lot. I am not crazy about hot fudge. I do have some SF Hershey syrup that I got a while back and it is not bad; it does cost quite a bit more than the regular Hershey syrup.
