Going to Mexico?
As someone who had my DS with a highly respected and highly trained surgeon in Mexico, I find this unfunny and unhelpful for anyone seeking real information. As someone who has friends who are Latino, I find the stereotypes perpetuated in this post offensive. If this is an attempt at humor, it misses the mark.

Here's your requested recognition...the author is an insecure racist ***** who employs the use of stereotypes in an attempt to denigrate an entire country. The article does not make it clear whether the author has ever received any medical services in Mexico or anywhere else outside her Phoenix trailer park, but she has missed the point tha****er seeks its own level.
If she was surrounded by undesirables in Mexico or any other foreign country, good for the "undesirables," and I hope they were able to shower quickly after having encountered her.

I had my LapBand in Monterrey, Mexico...with one of the surgeons whose work was the basis for the FDA approval of the band...in a hospital that the Secret Service has designated as a place they would take the president in an emergency. Each nurse had...I dunno...about FOUR patients. I had a daybed in my private room for my husband if he wanted to use it. My surgeon's English wasn't all that bad considering...considering what? Considering he went to junior high in Ohio.
Her "humor" sounds like the "humor" of a lot of people in that area who can't seem to grasp that the entire region was settled by native peoples CENTURIES ago and remained irrigated by canals built by folks whose existence can hardly be confirmed other than by the canals and maybe the "Case Grande" a little south of Phoenix and these "late arrivals"--who got there after the REAL work was done by the people they barely consider human--choose to insult those who are obviously superior to them.
She's an ass.
