Why DSers get pissy......again! Crosspost

I posted this on the main board; let er rip folks!

This is just unbelievable; the amount if lies and misinformation that is spread about the DS by unethical surgeons who just want to collect a fee. IMO the surgeon/sonofa***** that did this should be sued for malpractice, disbarred and then put in prison:

Being told that the DS wasn't for her, even though she already had a VSG, because she only had about 100 pounds to lose and that with the DS she would have vitamin malabsorbtion problems, but never mentioning that RNY has the same kind of problems, just different vitamins and then the final kicker; that she would have to "live in the bathroom". OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Argh. That is tragic. At this point, the damage is done, so I truly hope she succeeds with what she has.

The fact that her non-DS doctor lied to her, told her she'd be in the bathroom all the time and that she'd have deficiencies (but not with RNY?), all because he couldn't do the surgery that would have been best for her? Outrageous. I mean, he freaking cut apart her sleeve to make a pouch out of it. How unecessary.

This is why doctors should be mandated to provide complete and accurate options information to patients.

It is sad, but there is nothing that can be done for her; she is screwed and thinks her "surgeon" has done her a service.

My only hope is that someone else will be saved from this kind of a crime.

I'm amazed there aren't any RNYers responding yet.

I don't know what they're going to say, it's pretty obvious to anyone who knows even a little bit about VSG and RNY that this is a travisty.

This makes me furious, and I feel horrible for her. 

I looked at her profile, and through her pictures.  She's just a young girl.  I hope she sues her surgeon.  He butchered her stomach for no reason other than to earn himself a few dollars.

She thinks it's all OK because she didn't have to pay for it; her insurance paid for it......OMG again!!!

I think I'm gonna be sick.....

That's sad. I **only** had 97 lbs to lose and I had no problem getting the DS although I did go straight to a DS surgeon

Did you see the answer that "plussized barbie" gave??? OMG!  I have to take a break!  Thank God that plus sized barbie woman didn't get a DS, she isn't smart enough to have one!

I have zero patience today and I am very worried about the poster on here that has vomit that smells like feces, no angel, nobody to contact.
