Incision healing - pics

So far all my incisions seem to have healed beautifully except for the one right above my belly button. At first I didnt mind much and it just scabbed over but when I press around it, it feels hard and the scab just doesnt seem to be healing. I scrubbed it pretty hard the other day in the shower and some of it peeled off but it seems to run deep and after I did that it seemed a tiny bit oozy. Should I leave it alone? Put something on it? Is it normal?

Dr. Roslin saw me a couple of weeks ago, I complained that it was itchy and he told me I can put something on it if I needed but didnt comment about the huge scab.

Please excuse my hairy tummy, my pcos causes me to grow body hair like a wild forest creature and I havent waxed since.

Did Dr. Roslin look directly at that incision? Did it look the same way then as it does now?

I'm no expert but to me that looks like possible MRSA.

Yeah, he looked right at it and I told him it was itchy. It was scabbed over a little more which I scrubbed in the shower but I am just getting concerned and I don't know if its normal or not.

I don't have a fever, its no longer itchy, there is no odor coming from it as far as my boyfriend can tell but it feels a little hard around the incision when I press (scar tissue?)

All my other incisions, as you can see, healed perfectly.

After all of my plastics procedures my surgeon recommended I use polysporin on my incisions. It really helped them to heal quickly.

I have some neosporin pain relief, would that work? I was thinking of wiping the area down with an alcohol pad and putting some on a bandaid and covering it up, do you think I should do that or just put some on and let it sit uncovered?

Neosporin is fine and covering it is also fine. It will help to keep dust and lint from attaching to it.

Polysporin is preferable to neosporin.   One of the medications in the neosporin can be irritating to skin.

PS - ETA - I'd also show it to the doctor and see what he/she thinks of it.   Rather than just treat it at home and hope for the best.
