For those of you afraid to try something phyiscal you used to love, do it!
Hi All,
I started back to my lifelong love of riding a few months ago, Yesterday it was beautiful here in the Buckeye State, and my friend Elise brought two of her horses to my place so we could ride on the trails on our property.
The wildflowers in our field are stunning right now, and I thought it would make a nice shot. We had so much fun, and I would NEVER have been able to do this without my DS.
I'm on the paint, down 150 lbs and a year and six weeks out.
It won't let me paste in the pic but here are the links!

I was a little nervous when I started to ride again, I just could not get my head around the fact that I could actually be "good" again! I guess that was the fat girl talking. I've been shocked at how quickly it has all come back. I'm even jumping a little! Sure, my muscles are not what they used to be, but everytime I ride I feel stronger.
For those middle aged DS'ers like me, if there is something you used to love doing - karate, running, sky diving, whatever - do yourself a favor, and after a good bit of your weight is off, give it a try. You won't beleive how wonderful it feels to reclaim that part of who you are!
Thanks for looking!
Christy

I'm with you Christy. Last winter I HAD to go skiing for the first time in 40 years because my 12 year old grandson was just panting to try it. I still weighed about 200 lbs., but it was much, much easier than I thought it would be.
Now that I'm **168** lbs., it should be even easier this winter. I plan to buy a winter ski pass and ski ski ski ski ski
