I am 5 months out and no matter what kind of protein I've tried it makes me have a terribly rumbly tummy bad bad gas and dh!! I've tried many different kinds and I can't stand it anymore, I don't know what to do. ATM I'm drinking Jay Robb egg white protein and to no avail that bothers me just as much as the concentrate and the isolate. I have a had time eating AND drinking ANYTHING when I drink the protein, if I don't drink the protein I can eat fine and my tummy feels good. Any suggestions?

Don't use the protein and just eat it as food?  Are you able to eat enough at this point to get all your protein from food?  Remember an ounce of meat/hard cheese/an egg/ect is 7g protein...

Get all you can thru the food.
I don't know alot about different protien shakes but I wonder if it might be what you are mixing your protien powder with instead of the powder itself.  Maybe it is the milk?  There was a period of time when I would have trouble if I drank milk.  I can't say  that I was lactose intolerant.  I could eat dairy just fine but drinking milk would cause gas and upset.
Also, most ready made protien drinks give me gas big time.

I've had a lot of problems with protein shakes too.   So far, Designer Whey and Syntrax Nectars are the only ones that don't bother me.

Have you tried any protein bars?   The Power Crunch bars are whey protein and do not give me issues like shakes do.   They're only about 14 g of protein, but that's equal to two eggs.

Also, if you're going to try to get protein from food sources, try to go with lower density sources of protein.   For example, tuna fish has anywhere from 24-30 grams of protein per can.   Mix it with mayo and it goes down really well, and you can eat a lot in one sitting.   Same with any form of fish or seafood.

The last couple days I've been eating tuna but I can't stand fish or seafood. Meat in general make me feel sick to my stomach and I can only eat a couple bites and thats it.

Well, unfortunately, you're going to have to figure something out that works for you, because the ill effects that you will suffer from protein  malnutrition are going to be far more devastating than a rumbling tummy from protein shakes.    Experiment, play around with recipes, keep trying new things.    You can do this!

Is this something you had a problem with before surgery? I can recall talking about this with someone who was preop some months ago, but i don't know if it was you.

Everything I mix with my shakes I can eat without problem. I use strawberries which I can eat, I've mixed it with both milk and water and I can drink both with out problems, I use bananas which I can eat without probs, and thats the only things I use.

I can not eat enough yet to get all my protein from food. I have not tried syntax or nectar brands yet and all pre mixed ones give me gas too. I have not really used the bars at all early on I tried a couple but didn't sit well cuz I was so early out.

Yea, this can get dangerous, you are right to ask for help because a few bites of tuna is as good as nothing.

Hmm...do you rumbly tummy that's annoying, or bloated, rumbly tummy that ends up with hours of trying to pass gas till you get relief? Because, rumbles...while annoying, can be tolerated to get down what we need. They eventually get better. I can remember days where I screamed outloud for the damn thing to stop. It felt like a was pregnant with tickle me elmo and he was stuck on giggle. But...it gets better, at this point..5 months out, it's time to have a break through with your eating. This is about where you have to push through and things start to look up.

Also, while you can't get in protein, I'd suggest not eating the fruit and other stuff to force yourself to fill all the space you have with protein.
