She says she is taking prescription D and not D3 further down in the thread.  Please educate her about the types of Vitamins that she is able to absorb and not absorb.

ETA:  Well she is likely not open to being educated as she just blocked me.  I'm just crushed.  LOL.

Thanks,

~Becky

I know, I know.

I should start acting like the southernor that I am and just say "well God bless" to everything.  Then everyone would love me, right?

Some people really should not get the DS.

Yes, Ma'am.  I know what you mean.  I'm a bit surprised, though, that her surgeon isn't saying/doing anything about the regular D.  Dr. Anthone knows better than that.  Oh well, stupid hurts, and you can't fix stupid.  Humph.

I think it is an endocrinologist that prescribed the D.  One wonders what got her to an endo in the first place.  My guess would be that her labs suck royally, and I bet she is just non-complaint with whatever Anthone recommends to his post-ops.

Bless her heart.

Anthone has told me that he has had many patients who eat all the crap they're not supposed to, and then whine and complain about gas/bathroom issues, even though they've been educated about how to prevent it (don't eat crap).  He seemed floored that with my shorter CC, I don't really have issues at all unless I go WAY all out and eat a lot of crap I shouldn't.  He seemed impressed that I was aware that when that was the case, any issues would be my own fault.  I wonder sometimes with how easy it can be for some to get a DS (comparatively, at least, if you're lucky enough to live in very close proximity to a good, no-BS DS surgeon and don't have to battle insurance), maybe those who kind of have one fall into their laps don't educate themselves as much.  Just an idea.  Now watch me get blocked.

The psych eval process DOES NOT WORK.  It is really too bad that this wonderful, powerful, and potentially dangerous surgery is done on people who can't/won't/don't take care of themselves.

I can only hope that my surgeon is a "no BS DS" surgeon (really loved that :D))
