Do most of the protein drinks have artificial sugars in them?  I just found out that a condition I have can be worse with artificial sugars and I was planning on having the DS.  Thanks

You have to read the ingredient labels carefully. What are you trying to avoid?

FWIW, it's entirely possible to live well with the DS without using protein supplements. I was on all protein from food by the time I was a couple months out.

There are also a few supplements out there that don't have any sweeteners added. The closest thing to a truly flavorless protein powder I found is called ProCel. http://www.amazon.com/Global-Health-Procel-Protein-Supplemen t/dp/B000SON6KY

Several brands offer "unflavored" protein powders. Do not confuse unflavored with taste-free, though. At best they taste a bit like powdered milk, and it goes downhill from there.
