Does having major gas prior to ds predispose one or even guarantee one will have it post ds? I was wondering about the post ds experience of others who were really gassy beforehand.

I was. I wish I'd known that a round of Flagyl would clear up 95-98% of my gas issues. Also, try taking a probiotic after the Flagly kills off the bad bacteria. I have a problem now with probiotics. But, if you can get your guts healthy before your DS you're half way there.

The difference is the smell. The amount for me is the same. If I really carb it up, I have more gas. If I keep my carbs moderate, the amount of gas is very minimal.
