A DATE????!!!!!?????

I spoke to Diana in Dr. G.'s office this morning, and she said "let's go ahead and schedule you!" since she knows the last report is coming in soon. She also said they can submit to the insurance company even without the LOMN, and see if it gets kicked back. (She was unfamilliar with my insurance, not surprisingly. Haven't found anyone here on OH who's had a DS with it.) So...... drumroll, please......... September 21st! YIKES!!!! 5 weeks away, and I have so much to get together. It's exactly 4 weeks, to the day, before my birthday. My heart started to pound when she said about scheduling, and it hasn't stopped since. Where's that sense of peace you guys keep talking about?? I have to do two days of clear liquids, so that's Monday and Tuesday, with surgery on Wednesday. Dis I say YIKES??????????? AI YI YI!!!!! OY VEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, the only bad part of that date is that I'll miss our Autumn Moon (Chinese holiday) picnic on the following Saturday and **sob** the GARLIC FESTIVAL on Sunday! I wait all year for that Garlic Festival - and I'm out of Budapesto, too. Oh is that pesto GOOD! Can anybody run up there and get me 2 or 19 tubs of the stuff? Beth (OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG)

Yeah, as long as the SSIC (s****ucking insurance company) says it is! Hang on LeaAnn, you still may get there before me! I've calmed down from the "OMG it's HAPPENING!" high I was in earlier, to the jaded, more realistic wait-n-see approach. You need YOUR turn... and SOON!!! OK, just spoke to my husband, and the voice of reality got through.... will it happen on that date? Maybe - maybe not. All depends on insurance, so we'll see. He's expecting a kick in the chops from them. But at least I'm sitting near the road, even if my engine's not started yet! Beth

Step by step, day by day, closer you get to live a new way (gosh, wasn't that inspired?!) Good luck with the insurance...I chose to forge ahead and fight them afterward, my health issues could not wait for appeals and denials ad nauseum.

Hi Beth, Glad you have a date, it sure is hard going through all the emotions that this process involves. I have been waiting a week for the SSIC ( Love this ) to send my official paperwork to Dr to be sure they approved the DS and not the RNY. One minute I am calm, the next minute I am a wreck. Mostly a wreck the longer it takes. But, it sure is a wonderful feeling to have a date, a plan. Sure hope and pray that it all comes together and you can "Get R Done!" xoxoxo Brenda S
