Topic: About my girlfriend
Good Morning Ladies,

I did not want to t/j Sandra's introduction to the group, but did want to thank everyone for their kind words.

I have been friends with this lady for 15 years, her husband was my oldest daughters first supervisor when she started working. I met them and their son at the summer gathering the company has every year.  As most companies do, they got transfered about 10 years ago, but we never lost touch, called, sent emails & cards. When ever we traveled for work or play, we always included a visit with them.

They landed in Florida about 5 years ago and loved it. Due to the economic downturn, the age of her husband (time with same comp) they let most of senior management go. He is in Finance, in the credit division, so jobs like that are very hard to come by. He is now back to work (yea), they have insurance and she was able to have her WLS and is doing so very good with it.  Last year, when my girls got married (May & June!) I told my husband my obligations were over, the girls were happy, successful in their lives and careers, the boys likewise (one is in the Army) and it was time for me to have the life I put on hold and sacrificed for the family. I wanted to move from the NE to warmer climates and Florida was my destination (my kids highly approved). I purchased a sweet condo less than an hour north of Orlando. He drops by about every 6 weeks or so when his schedule allows as he travels to the West Coast a lot for business.

Her husband isn't real happy with me at the moment as he thinks she is losing the weight to leave him when their son graduates next year.  He sees me having the empty nest and enjoying life and thinks she will start to want that too.

Sorry for the book, sheesh, didn't know all that was all inside of me! Again, thanks for reading :) I love my friend so much and want her to be happy. With herself, her life, job (one of the best nurses I've known) and future.

I don't have any answers or insight for you, but I have found a great website for Fibromyalgia.  They have a great forum that offers lots of information about different symptoms and such.  Possibly you will find it helpful as well.

My Rheumotoligist is so busy they do not take new patients at all.  He has a new Doctor starting so that may change but with all of us living longer they keep their patients longer as well.  I drive 1 hour to go to his office would travel longer to see him if I had to.

Hi MainePam; I still try to multi-task and get things done. I also have to write a lot of things down; as my memory is getting worse. I end up paying for it everyday; but I just have to learn how to say no. I cannot do it. I have spoken to a few great people on this group already and will surely find more! Everyone here understands and is there to help. Thank you All!

Thanks Battlyn! Yes all of the Rhuematoligists near me are about 60 miles away. I live in the middle of no where in small town and low income. Tried chiropractor for a while and pools are 20 miles away. I did attend a fibromyagia group once a week for 6 wks and was very informative! I enjoyed it; as we would have pool time for part of sessions learning exercises. So I will have to do my own exercises at home and start walking in spring. I will definitely check out the book you have posted. Thank you.

Oh I hear that, I always make a writen list of what I need to do each day. I start with what HAS to be done and then what I can maybe do if I have enough energy. We do have to be very inventive with this disease, just shows we're smarter than the average bear!

here is a address I got after googling Dr Teitelbaum found out her was on Dr Oz's  expert board
http://www.endfatigue.com/treatment_options/Shine_treatment_protocol.html
on this page he has a finding a physian that uses his SHINE method of treating Fibro and CFS  these may be less costly than the centers I do not know for sure.  It is worth reading anyway !
