Topic: RE: Question about working out after WLS
With any WLS I think exercise is crucial for success, we are just more challenged to get it done. Some of us can do limited exercise and others are barely able to move at all. We really have to learn our bodies and what they will be able to do without going overboard. I don't think anything really "improves" our fibro but exercise does keep us limber and helps the rest of our bodies like it would anyone else. Like everything else with fibro it's one day at a time.

I have a question.
I will be have RNY gastric bypass within the next few months and I was wondering how all of you did with your exercising while having Fibro. Did Fibro improve with slowing increasing workout (low impact) OR were you not really able to work out at all after surgery?

Thanks for your replies, I just got back. The review went quickly, the rep told me that they thought that because I had gastric bypass, it would have relieved a lot of my symptoms, I only wish that were the truth!!! Are thee some good sides==positively, has it all gone away--could only hope
I guess that I have to remember that they're out to save money for thier company and the fact that they smile is out of protocol not because they like you. Now they will return to the company and decide what job I can do. If they find one that lets me go in and leave when I need and stay home for days at a time when I need, please tell me.

Sharon yes you are right, people for some reason think if you look ok you are. The fatigue is so hard to eplain people think just regular tired. i always say it is like I am in a big vat of wet cement that is drying and I am trying to move with that hanging on me. Or another good one is tell them if they can remember the worse flu ever the aches and pains like that and they do not go away!!!

Today I have a review with the insurance company so they can look me over and assess me as to the reason why I am not working I HATE these reviews, Why? Because I look as though nothing is wrong with me, and as you all know if someone doesn't look ill then there can't be anything wrong with them !!!!! Even educated people feel this way which makes it disheartening.
They don't understand that theres no normal sleep cycle, that you can start the day with being able to perorm a few tasks and then rapidly fizzle, or that you don't start the day til the afternoon. That one day u can walk around the block but can't the net 4 or 5 days. How does one expalin this?

Topic: Ensure-High Protein
I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada and have 13 cases of 6 bottles left from my pre-op liquid diet. There are chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavors. This was expensive so I'd like to recover some of the expense. I'm asking for $10 each/6 bottle case. Anyone need this?
