I had forgotten about the brain doing it thing and thought I was just going through a lot of things in life.  And all the knotted feeling in the body started in between changing meds and forgetting to take the meds sometimes. Yes I've started 2 days ago and I've been having trouble with a lot of sweating. Well keep in touch with you'll with the finding on the med.
Thank's you a lot.

I've been on Savella for several months now and have to say the side effects that I've experienced are worth the pain relief.  My brain fog was nearly gone after a week. It took several weeks for my body to come out of the charlie horse it had been in for god knows how long.  I've never had much problem with depression, so no issues there.  The only major side effect I've had is sweating too much.  It can be awkward at times, but compared to the brain fog swamp and knotted body that I had a few months ago, I'll take the sweating any day of the week.

Jus****ch your feelings and be aware of how you feel.  Keep a daily journal for a while to note what is improving or what problems you are having.  Then share that with your doctor.  Best wishes to you in finding something that helps.  Our thoughts are with you!!  :o)

Topic: RE: I Know my fibro sisters will understand
After six years of repeat visits to my PCP with complaints of knee pains, complete exhaustion, sleep depravation, kneck pain, pain under my shoulder blades, pain when I take a deep breath, stiffness, tingling fingers, sensations of burning on my arms and legs, swollen ankles, chronic cough (and I mean cough until I vomit multple times a day), depression, heart palpations, loss of consciousness (at work of all places) weight gain, she finally decided I have fibro.  I have to say I was not very happy with her or her diagonosis.I honestly never thought fibro was a real disease.  It was sort of the disease you had when they just couldn't figure out what was wrong with you.
The cardiologist ran me  through every test possible only to tell me I had an eposide of syncope.  And no, he did not know why or if the would occur again.   The puemologist tortued me throug a broncoscopy and a lung function test only to tell me he had no idea why I had been coughing for six years.  Well .....................................the rhumotologist prescribed an antidepressant after I broke down booohooing in her office. Because I thought she would have the answer, and I surely did not want to hear fibro.   She was also nice enough to re-diagonoss my asthma as hypersensitive airway disease, but still prescribed those @#$#@ inhalers.  She gave me a second antidepressant so I could get out of bed in the morning and suggested that exercise would make me feel better.. Ohhhh I forgot to mention that during the six years my weight went from 180 to 270.  Can't imagine why.   With a little humor and a lot of prayers, I know there is light at the end of the tunnell.

Topic: RE: Has WLS helped your Fibro pain?
I have lost 93 pounds and my fibro is as bad as it has ever been. The doctors always told me that if I lost weight, the fibro would get better. They were so wrong. They blame everything on weight. I was so disappointed that I did not have any improvement and at times things have been worse with the fibro. It is a fight everyday with pain. I also have severe arthritis and the weight loss has helped that a little but not significantly. I think that fibro is always there lurking just waiting to cause a blow up with my health and I am always in pain but do have flairs that are unbearable.

Hi,
I started on Svella 3 weeks ago and am starting to feel a little better. I reacted to Lyrica and Cymbalta but have not had any severe reactions to this one. I find that I feel less down and have a little more energy. I have had a few hot flashes like I had after my hysterectomy but if it makes me feel better overall then I can live with that until it goes away. Usually things like hot flashes or flushes will go away once your body gets used to the new med. I hope I continue to get better and better with it. I have also been on the Myers ****tail for the past 6 weeks and that has also given me more energy. The pain doctor recommended that treatment for me. I was also very happy to find out that my new rx insurance was going to cover Savella. It does take a while to get the full effects so I am looking forward to getting better and better with it.

I just started to (Friday)night on the meds after checking with the Dr. and cross checking what meds I still take. I had corn flakes and milk to night and fell like.  I'm going to have to keep a close check on the new med.  The last one I took was the Cymbalta and  it felt  like my throat was closing in and broke out in a sweat.  Yes, eating out of stress and depression I'd lost 6 lbs and gain it faster than it took to lose. I tell you what  this pouch have been putting me in check I have been double thinking before I eat or try to eat sweets.

I don't exercise much. It throws me into a tailspin.  Be careful not to overdue it.

No, it didn't help fibro. It just helps doctors NOT assume everything is weight related.  For that I am glad I had the surgery.

Haven't tried it yet, but someone saw a program on tv about it this week and called me.  I didn't do well on Lyrica and I was on Cymbalta for about a year but I'm off it now.  I am in a depressed state and very tired lately too.  I've gained 11 pounds so I am now just over 200 again!  I am feeling so defeatist right now.  I gotta snap out of it and get myself to do the right things again.  I am eating too many sweets but I know it is an internal brain thing to help me cope with pain and worry.  Arghh!  Do you think a hypnotic suggestion could work for me?  I've considered it.
