I had gastric bypass on April 6, 2011--so I am a little over 6 months out. I would love to have a penpal!! I love these message boards--they have been so helpful to me since surgery.

I'm new on here, and looking to see what this is all about. I had looked into surgery in the past, and thought it wasn't for me. I have lost over a hundred pounds on my own. I don't know too many people where I live, I live in Catskill New York, and I'm looking for either penpals, or maybe a workout buddy. I haven't been to the gym in years. I'm not really sure how I managed to lose the weight, I didn't do much at all, and I am trying to lose the last little bit before maybe some surgery to tighten everything up. Thank you.

Hi and hello. Iam just starting the weight loss process and find it all so confusing and scarey. My bmi is very hight (74) and I know this could mean a whole new life for me but I could use any advice or an ear to chew on. I am 2 months into my 6 month diet before I can be approved for surgery. I have times where I want to chicken out but then I realize want this surgery more than anything. If anyone has a few minutes to spare to give this chicken some advice it would be very welcome. I am planning on having the gastric by pass done. Thanks for looking in on me.

Hi I'm so sorry for this late reply, I did't know that I would get a notice through my Yahoo account. I thought it may come through from OH. But yes I would love to chat and correspond with you because theirs so much to talk about. Let me know what works best for you. I am normally at work in front of the computor in the morning or sometimes in the evening once I put the kids to bed if I'M NOT WORN OUT FROM THEM AND GOING TO THE HEALTHCLUB!
