Topic: new to this... looking for penpals in Ohio
I'm looking for people who are going through this journey and would like to have someone else to talk to about what they're experiencing. I haven't had my surgery yet... I'm scheduled for April 24th. It would be nice if I could meet some people who also share common interests (I love movies, music and books!) but it's not mandatory. Message me if you're like me and would like some additional support from a wls friend.

Hi. I live in the Eastern part of Tx.. Had lap band done in November and am down 35lbs. Used to love Big Red when I was a kid, hadn't thought of it in years. Hope we can find more Texas people on here.

My name is Terri and I'm from Pennsylvania and looking for a weight loss friend and supporter. Your request caught my attention because you surgery date is the same as mine but 1 year later. Last year this time I was going through the same thing you are now experiencing. I was excited, hopeful, and filled with lots of questions and expectations. I will tell you, one year later, my life is nothing like it was before my surgery. There were lots of exciting moments, but there was also some disappointments. I would highly recommend keeping a journal, you don't want to forget the changes and achievements and you also have a place to work out the disappointments. Really interested in being pen-pals and friends.
Hope your surgery went well and your recovery is going smoothly.

I'm 46, from Upstate New York and having gastric bypass June 11th. Have you had your surgery yet? Or a scheduled date for it? I like reading too...Nora Roberts, John Grisham, Johanna Lindsey, etc.
I'm trying to be more crafty to take my mind off of food. My current thing is coloring books...not little kid coloring books but books with geometric designs, kaleidescope designs, etc, I'm addicted to using gel pens lol.
How about you? What kind of crafty things do you do?
