Some questions about before surgery prep?

Hi, I am having Rous-En-Y laproscopic surgery in August. I have been worried about the extra skin that I might end up with as I loose weight. I am 240 pounds, 5feet 4 inches tall. I have been exercising for the past 3 months, lifting weights, walking 30-40 minutes, 5 days a week. I lost 5 pounds and even have some muscles showing up in my arms. I keep fearing that I will end up with all of this skin sagging and no way to pay for plastic surgery. I am disabled and my insurance is Ky Medicaid/medicare A & B. Is there anything I can do to to help my skin get back in shape? How about all those firming lotions I keep reading about?

Hi! Good Luck on your upcoming surgery. I don't know how old you are, but in the grand scheme of things, being 240 and 5'4" isn't all that bad. I really don't think you'll have much of a problem getting your skin to snap back in shape! Good Luck!! Diane
