Thank you ALL for replying to my posting. It is greatly appreciated! I definetly believe Dr. Macik's nurse has changed since I was to his office last.
Robin does sound like she is well liked and I will be glad to meet her when I go back to his office soon....or at a support group if she does attend those.
The nurse he had back then just didn't tell me something that I didn't want to hear that I got offended with. She came out and called me a liar when I was discussing my diet and my protein intake....she kept on insisting I wasn't telling the truth as I was stuck in a plateau in my weight loss. I just noticed in general she treated men vs. women differently in her interactions as I sat in the waiting area.

Robin is very helpful and positive. She listens to what you have to say and then takes her time when she talks to you.

I'll miss you, Cindy! Thanks for your friendship and support these past 3 years. I hope that you and Danny are happy in Georgia, and I hope that we can remain in touch.
Don't know if you got my message, but I'm having plastic surgery on December 9th. Keep me in your prayers, okay? I'm a bit nervous ~ it's a lot of surgery and I have a history of a pulmonary embolism, which makes it kind of scary, but I feel that I'm in good hands. I go tomorrow for my pre-op appointment with the doctor, so I'm hoping I'll feel less stressed after that.

Thanks Nick and CColeman for taking the time to respond. I am glad to know that everyone here is happy with Dr. Macik. As I stated, I am going to ask him about the malpractice. I wish I had not found this tid bit of information, but I can not let him operate on me without me asking about it. There is one unhappy camper out there for whatever reason. I want to use him, but I have to feel comfortable with my decision and that one unhappy camper has planted the seed of doubt for me, I need him to fix that for me, if he can.

HI Cindy. Yes, there is a support group here. It meets at the hospital on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00. It's a great group and open to anyone. Welcome back to the 'wick!

Floyd Hospital's Bariatric program has one every month. This is in Rome and not too far from you. You might want to give them a call. I don't get to go because I'm so far away.
