I work in Durham so I know what you mean for sure. Heck lived in Durham for 4 years and never met another bear anywhere .

The jury is still out on whether or not it is a happy or sad solo!  LOL
Most days I prefer to be alone but there are also times I miss being in a relationship.  I can say that it is better to be alone than to be unhappy and with the wrong person.

I agree with that.  Alone not always the best but better in bad relationship.

Great Posts!  I am also flying solo...would love to find my life partner!  I have to say, though, this solo time has allowed me to focus on ME and get my body/mind where it needs to be to take the plunge for surgery.  I'm a little nervous where i'll fall in the world of dating after surgery...I won't be small still but i won't be the "super chub" that the "chasers" find attractive now...either way, i am trusting I'll find my match one day!

My wife was in another relationship when we met. I was working as a massage therapist at the chiropractor she went to and she started coming to me there. Long story short, I overlapped just a little with the ex, but we've been together for almost 10 years. Oh, I should probably mention that I was "straight" before Madeline. Or thought I was...lol!
