Add me to the list who would love a good WAH job! Happy Tuesday...sure feels like a Monday and I don't even work outside the home.  We had a good weekend, hubby was off all weekend since he is changing jobs, and we got a lot done.  Went to Menards on Sunday and bought over 600 lbs of top soil, potting soil and manure...lots of low spots in the yard to fill, and we want to get some good fertilized soil in my flower beds before I plant my summer flowers next weekend.  Yesterday we went to see my IL's, and had a decent visit.  My brother in law was the only one who noticed my weight loss and complimented me on it...neither of my husband's parents even asked how I was feeling.  par for the course, not too surprised.  After 15 years of wearing a beard and/or goatee, my husband shaved it off this weekend for his new job, and his parents didn't notice that either.   Crappy part came on the way home...a young deer ran out of a thicket and right into the passenger door of our pickup.  Scared us to death...Darrell tried to swerve and avoid it, but we were on a 2 lane highway and he didn't want to risk a worse accident with oncoming traffic.  We don't think it killed the deer, as we went back and couldn't find it...but the passenger door is pretty smashed in.  We were so thankful it was a young deer and he swerved to avoid it...had it been a big deer, I would've been pretty badly hurt.  The girls had been asleep and woke up at the impact, but we are all OK, and that's what really matters! This Thursday is my first post op appointment with Dr Evanson and the NUT, so I'm pretty excited.  I feel fantastic...I've now walked 63 miles since surgery, and am down almost 25 pounds.  Woohoo!

Good afternoon everyone! My weekend went ok, except my 9 yr. old son had strep!  It figures, he just got out of school last week, and he gets strep.  He is doing better today though.  I am still waiting to hear from the insurance company if I am approved or not, waiting is awful. I have a home daycare, and I had one new kid start today, always fun.  I have three kids total, and all the parents have been great about me taking days off for my dr. appointments.  I am just debating on if I have the surgery if  I should take a whole week off, or just a few days. Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Insurance is the worst!   You will need at least a week off.  Don't rush your recovery!  I took about 3 1/2 weeks off from work, and I started to feel guilty about the time off after two weeks.  The first week after surgery really is the worst, so I wouldn't reccommend the distractions of babysitting children.  You will feel OK, but you have a lot to deal with--protein, vitamins, water...Take your time!! What type of surgery are you planning??

I also do daycare at home....my STRONG suggestion is to SCHEDULE 2 weeks off.  I was not going to, but with the lifting restriction went ahead and told everyone 2 weeks.  After the fact I am SO glad I did.  The first week was good, but really felt crappy the second week.  If you feel super good, then tell them you can have them start back sooner!!  Better to be safe than sorry!!!! Hugs, Holly

Hi all been a few days since I have posted, I had company all weekend and still not getting any sleep with the baby.  Today she had her 1 month check up ( she will be 1 month old Friday)  and she now weighs 8 pounds and 11 ounces.  She only weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce when she was born so she doesn't have a problem with eating that is for sure.

I hope every one is having a great day.
