I am so MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with the insurance company and I now know why that no one can find my pre cert claim. Tracey (Ironic isn't it, same name) who Amy at Dr. Gupta's office faxed my info to said she is a supervisor and that Amy should have a answer in a week, now I find out that this Tracey has been on vacation since Amy sent my pre cert fax, and no one knows where that paper work is. So, in talking to someone else there(at the insurance company) she sends me to someone in Tracey's office    so they can track my fax down, and quess what I get a voice mail box and the voice mail box is full!!! So Iam stuck with no one to talk to. I have left two messages to Amy to just send it again and please call me. So here I wait to see what she is going to do.

Whats's really ironic is that I added Anthem to my medicare health insurance, and with Anthem Amy said that you don't need to do the whole 6 month diet supervised by doctor thing, and probably did all that for not. Medicare does make you do it so that is why I did it. So I have driven to Indy at least 10 times for this surgery which Indy is like 3 hours away and now I don't even need it. But I still can't get a date cause someone has gone on vacation and has dropped the ball!!!! So all the hoops I have been jumping threw and at this weight has not been easy, has been for not!!!! Thanks for letting me burn off some anger here, has anyone else gone threw this much crap? I even wonder if now that I have Anthem if I needed to go to ST. V's, cause that was a Medicare requirement also. I really don't want to know the answer to that one.  Sometimes I just think I am not supposed to have this surgery. Tracey

Sorry you are having to go through so much!  Hopefully it will get resolved soon!  I have found that if you email Amy she responds a lot quicker!  You might try that!

I know it is frustrating dealing with insurance but dont give up and hang in there. Like Leanne said I would try to email Amy, they dont call you back too often.

Tracey, I have Anthem too and yes it was a nightmare. I was told mine was lost too. I sent Amy at Dr Guptas office an email (she tends to answer those faster) and told her I wanted copies and I would fax myself.   Needless to say she refaxed it and I had an answer within a week. Keep after Anthem!! You will get it, I know it's the worst part of it all... Hang in there. Jamie

Yes, could I have Amy's email as well. I have BCBSM but was told that since I live in indiana I have to have claims processed through Anthem. They sent Amy back a letter stating that 12 months diet is needed. BCBSM Ford Visteon Center told me it would be 6 months, but it's waived for my BMI over 50. Anthem is not helping me out either and Amy seems to be a little slow getting back to me.
