My weightloss has stalled for about 2 month. So I am reviewing my portions sizes. I have come to the conclusion that I don't know what portion I should be eatting a day. At this point I don't feel full  until I have eatten too much.  My question is how much are you eatting post - op? How much meat, veggie, and fruit? How do you know you are full?  Thanks  a bunch!

Hey Shari, For me, it's about 4 oz or protein (meat, fish, chili, etc) w/ some veggies.    I'm not big on the fruit part because I always think of it as high in sugar....but that could just be my obsessive self! By the way....the holidays happened in the last 2 months.....I don't count them in my weight loss pattern 'cause I was a big cheater!!    I just wrote them off!   Took me 3 weeks to lose the weight I gained but I'm back on track. Good Luck!! - Ann

Thanks.

That sounds good.  Is your weightloss rather consistant?

I did not gain during the holidays, but I did not lose either.

I eat until I am full. If I eat more than a medium plate full of food, I need a fill.

Thanks for replying:      I was trying that but the amount on the plate keeps getting bigger.     That's why I am trying to define the ounces so I can measure until I am losing with some consistency.

What size band do you have? How long has it been since you had a fill, and how much is in that band now? If you are eating something solid, how mu*****ups can you eat? Have you told your doctor about your increasing capacity?

My band is 4cc. I currently have a 1.75cc fill. I had gone to 2.0 cc and vomited 19 times in 1 month. So the doctor reduced the fill. I can eat a good 2 cups. I can eat a whooper. I can eat 2 slices of pizza. My doctor reduced my fill about 8 weeks ago. But the odd thing was I could eat  a big Mac but could not eat solid chicken or beef.

Hmmm.. have you intentionally slowed down your eating, because that could be causing the vomitting. Do you chew food to death? Or do you eat like always? I don't eat pizza, the dough is too hard for me, but an entire whopper owouldn't fit either. Are you drinking while eating or shortly after eating? That will turn the food into soup and greatly increase your capacity for food.

It's so funny....I just ate few pieces of chicken and am full.....speak of the devil. This is a good thing! I am writing while I eat so by default I am slowing down.  I am going to look into that as well as the 3-4 oz. that people are telling me works. Yes, I do chew well.  I drink 30 minutes after I eat.

You may want to extend the time after eating before you drink. I am trying for an hour now, it's really hard, but it works by keeping the food in the stomach longer. Good luck!
