If I eat a piece of chocolate, no matter how tiny or drink water, which I do all day long, I have heartburn. Always heartburn. I hate it. Its like before I was banded. They fixed a hurnia when they banded me and all was well. Now this. I know if I tell my Doc he will instantly take out some fill. I have had the same fill for 8 months and it is wonderfully great. I do not want to give up any. So I down Mylanta and Zantac. Any suggestions? Thanks

Wow. I looked at your previous posts. You don't post here much, do you? Based on the information in your previous posts, I think you need to contact your doctor. After all, any medical advice given on this board is likely to make things worse, since nobody here has your medical history, which seems complicated.

The chocolate isn't a problem - you can just not eat it - but the water is. Is it JUS****er or is it any liquids? Is it just very cold water or any water? You are a much more experienced bandster than I am so I hesitate to make any suggestions but is it perhaps NOT the band causing the problem? In which case, you need to see the doctor in case it is related to a hernia. If food goes down but no****er, I don't see how it can be the band. Hope you get it sorted, Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I would call your doctor.  It doesn't sound right with the water.  If it was just the chocolate, well, give it up for a bit and see how it goes, bu****er should not be giving you heartburn.  It could be something as simple as too much caffeen or it could be something more serious.  Only your doctor can tell and if an un-fill is what you need, then at least you won't be causing any additional damage.  Good Luck

You can't take care of them, if you don't take care of you!!
