So remember how I called and complained and wanted a fill at 4 weeks instead of 6 and the nurse said she'd schedule me and I could ask myself?  Well, I TOTALLY forgot that my dd has a mother's day program at preschool that day... and tail between my legs I have to call and reschedule.  How lame is that???  There's a slim chance, that if I'm the first person to be seen, and can get out of there w/in 30 minutes,  I could make it home... but I'm not counting on it.  So, I left a voicemail with the nurse that is sick of me last night, and she hasn't called back.  Do I call her today, or wait?  Oh, btw, my office only does fills on Thursdays and the doc has a seminar that day, so my 9 a.m. appt. was the only available time slot.  Ugh.  Thanks for listening. Oh yeah, and can fat  people do yoga?  I bought a dvd today and I could not do a good portion of the poses.  Think I should keep at it, or wait til I lose more? Thanks!  Finchy

They can absolutely do yoga.  I prefer Pilates but yes.  Its really good for you too. Give yourself a chance to get the hang of it.  Flexibility is something you work your way up to so don't get discouraged if you can't do all the positions right away. Keep at it.

Thanks, Bren.  That's kinda what I was thinking.  I could do some.  I got 'Yoga for meditation' and I really enjoyed the portions that just focused on breathing.  I did a lot of the stretching... but that pose where you crisscross your legs and actually have your feet up over your thighs just ain't gonna happen, know what I mean?  Maybe someday.  Heck, this could be a good way to see my wl progress. :)

I am sorry to hear about the scheduling issues.  I would give the nurse a call tomorrow if she doesn't call back tomorrow. I would apologizes to her and tell her what the problem is an go from there.  If I was you I would reschedule and not chance missing my DD program.

Fat people can do yoga!  I do it all the time, sometimes I cannot do all the posses, but you can modify them a bit, and do the best you can.  The more you do the tape the better you will get at those posses, your flexibility will increase.  I say keep the tape...  I even have a yoga tape for people that are overweight.

It is funny you bring up the yoga.  There was a study reported on the Dallas news last night about that subject and how good it is for you.  I looked on the net real quick but could not find it but it talked about WLS patients and yoga.  I think the study was done by a doctor out of California.
