I thought I heard somewhere that you have to finish your meal in 30minutes. Is that true? I have to eat my food so slow that I can't eat my food in that short of a time, but if I have to i will. Thanks for the help.

My nut says to try to eat slow for at least 20 minutes but not to eat longer than 30 minutes because then you could end up overeating.  Hope that helps.

Thanks, I find it so hard to eat very much in that short of time. I have a diet program that tells me exactly how much to eat for each meal  and how many hours apart to eat it, and there is no way I can eat what is on my list  in that length of time. I guess that is good for me.

I was also told to finish my meal in 20-30 minutes - it did take me a while to learn to time my eating correctly.
Be careful, or you may find yourself in my novel...

My doctor's program calls for 20 minutes period.  No longer, or you'll be overeating.  The 30 minute rule is for not drinking before or after for that long.

Protein is first to be eaten.  It's okay to mainly eat protein, and very little carbs.  Keeping well hydrated is the other rule, 64 ounces.

The written instructions from my nut say eat a minimum of 20 minutes but not longer than 30 minutes.  By 30 min your stomach is beginning to empty so you would be eating too much if you kept on past 30 min. Habanero
