I think we planted the watermelon too late, not sure if they will get ripe this summer.  And the rhubarb, what do you do with it????  I just planted it because it is pretty and takes up alot of room, which we had a lot of but the squash are taking over! Oh, we also have red onions and green peppers, don't think the peppers will make real peppers this year either. Chrissy

oh, I have a rhubarb pudding cake recipe that my grandma used to make....delish!  It's easy, one of those things that you throw together and poof, you look like Julia Child---I'll look for it and send to you later on :)

Do you use raised beds?  I didn't get a chance to make a garden this year (my first year in this house) but I want to plan for next summer.

I love the look of a raised bed, but we've always just tilled the spot, fertilized and called it good :) Good luck on your garden next year!

Beautiful veggies!!!  My garden didn't do so well this year.  It was so dry.  Had some nice cukes earlier and a few tomatoes.  I always plant basil, oregano, and parsely.  I have arugula that comes up on its own a coupe crops a year. My prize is a fig tree that I bought earlier this year.  It had about 5 figs on it that ripened and I ate them.  We just planted it in a permanent spot.  Hopefully next year it will do well.  Hope I have time and energy for a new garden in the spring.
