How many lbs before people noticed???

I have lost 30 lbs and not a single person has noticed! I mean, my mom tells me I'm "looking good," but she knows that I've been banded. Even the three people here at work who know I've been banded haven't said a word to me! When I've lost weight before, people seemed to notice after about 15 lbs....I would get comments from someone at least once a week.... I am just baffled that no one has said anything to me this time! I know that I am doing this for myself, blah, blah, blah.... but I can't tell a lie, I WANT someone to say that they can tell I'm losing weight!!!  I like compliments!! :) Just wondering how long it took for people to start noticing you were losing weight.

I went thru the same thing, but then at about 35 pounds, everyone started noticing.  They will notice soon.  From 30 to 35 pounds for me was a huge difference. You are doing great,  keep up the good work.  Stephanie

You're doing great! I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next 10 lbs or so to make a difference for me! :)

I know the feeling!  I have lost 66 lbs and other than family that knows, I have only had one neighbor say that I look like I have lost some weight, HELLO??? Even people at church tell my husband how wonderful he looks since he has lost about 45 lbs on his own, but they don't even mention my loss.  I don't know if I hid it well, or if they are shy to say something or what??? Hopefully all of our hard work will start to show soon! Chrissy

Hijack!  Chrissy I just looked at your profile and you don't just look like you have lost a little...you look like you have lost ALOT.  You have done awesome and why people aren't saying anything baffles me.  Now I am going to go look at other profiles...I wish I had taken befores of me!

Thank you so much.  It baffles me too, but figure as long as I can keep seeing the difference, that is all that matters. Chrissy

What's the deal w/ men anyway???? Not only does my husband lose it faster, he gets more compliments as well! If you're like us, you're probably shorter so your 66 lbs is a much bigger difference than his 45 lbs... I just don't get it! :) Maybe we do hide it better... My hubby tends to only gain in his tummy, which probably makes it more noticeable when he loses.   Keep up the good work! I can't wait til I've lost 66 lbs!

I guess maybe they figure it would offend us to say we lost weight???  Atleast this time I am losing faster than my husband, I know it shouldn't be a competition but it always is! Keep up the good work! Chrissy

I was banded on 8/13 and to date, I have only lost about 16 lbs.  Some people say I look different.   Again it is the psychology of it all because people here at work know that I've done it; although my friend Lisa here at work tells me she could see it in my face a little. My boyfriend was noticing yesterday that the seatbelt in the car is not up as high as it used to be around my stomach area, LOL. Me personally -- I feel and see the difference which is weird.  Most people notice before I do but this time, I actually feel thinner. What about you..... how do you feel about your loss - do you notice for yourself?

Maybe that's part of my problem.... I haven't even noticed that I look better so maybe I'm not giving off the "I feel sexy" vibe yet!  There are some days I think I might look thinner and then other days that I'm not sure. I didn't take an actual before picture... was avoiding that camera like the plague! I do feel better... more energy, happier, etc. And I know that's one thing that is really important. And NEVER say "ONLY 16 LBS"  That's an amazing loss in less than a month!!
