Having a hard time....so, I've made a decision

Hello All, Lately I have been having such a hard time with my eating habits. I have been eating all  the wrong things and Thanksgiving didn't help matters. I cooked this large wonderful meal for my family. So, I've made a decision that on Sunday, I am going to go back to my pre surgery meal plan for a week to see if this will help me get jumpstarted back on track again. I am going to do the two protein shakes a day with a sensible meal (protein & veggie only) I will not be doing any snacking in between meals, and I will only eat when I am hungry! I haven't weighed myself lately, so not sure what's happening on the scale, but that is okay because I really don't want to know, I wil find out when I go see the doctor. I am still consitently going to the gym, so I think that is helping me out a lot.  It is so amazing to me how easy it is to slip back to some of those old patterns of behavior so quickly. I was so careful in the beginning to make sure that I was following all the rules, but then I'm not totally sure what happened, but it is okay, because I will be getting back on track.  I'm reminded of the scripture that says, you were running a good race, but who cut in on you (can't remember the address, but I am going to look it up). So for all of us in this weight loss journey, continue to run your race, but be careful not to allow life to cut in on you and get you off track!!! Be encouraged everyone, because I am!!!!! I am fearfully and wonderfully made!!!!!!!!

Good for you. Somethimes we need to break the pattern to get back on track. I wish you well in this and know that with a good attitude and keeping your eye on the prize, you can do it!

Good for you-I'm doing a "back to basics" thing similar to yours to help me reset after the holidays.
