flappy belly and running

My stomach, much like my boobs, bounces badly when I try to run. I can find a good, tight, sports bra....but what about the flapping belly?

It hurts and must LOOK terrible!!!

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

II haven't tried this, but I was thinking about the same thing.  How about using a 'belly band' -- you know like women who are pregnant use? I used to work with a nurse who was on her second baby -- she wore one each night at work.  It was a very thick band that had hooks like a bra -- and it went around her back and underneath her tummy.  It gave support to her tummy. Any other ideas?

I love to run!  I do wear "tighter" underware and exercise pants (not completely spandex, but not loose like yoga pants).  For the region between the breasts and the panni (held in by the pants), I just hold my abs in tight when I run and that cuts down on the jiggle and is good for toning the abs. Sorry I dont' have a "cure" but that is what works for me!

LOL!  I like the ones from Lane Bryant (hi-cut).  They are more spandex than some brands, so they keep their "hold" while I run and sweat.  Other brands just stretch out in time!  Don't buy a really small pair, but the next size down should help!  Since you would be wearing something that is not 100% cotton and tighter, make sure you shower right after (rashes in the fold is not fun)!   Oh to address the comment about running being bad on the joints.  For me, running is much better on my knees than the ellipse machine!  I only run on a treadmill because that provides more cushion than running outside and running on grass/sand is bad on my ankles.  Walking is too boring, so running it is!  Also, I run at 0.5-1% incline which seems to be better on my knees/back than 0% incline or at a higher one.  Go figure!

Walk fast and don't run yet.  Running is hard on the joints.  The vanity issue is insignificant to the joint health issue.

She's to goal almost.  So the joints have already been relived on ~100 pounds.

Have you tried a gurdle? You can go to the store, and buy a full body gurdle like Spanx, or just one that goes over your stomach. It really does help. The only problem is with the ones that only go over your stomach, you have to end up adjusting it numerous times while exercising. Best of luck!

I thought about a girdle...but I was thinking the 1/2 body ones would roll down when I ran and my full one the cups are loose...

Maybe a TIGHT speedo swimsuit would work...

I knew you guys would know more than I do!
