Random thoughts form a 1 year post op (almost)
Revision on 05/12/14
Jewels, you are wonderful! What a fantastic post--I don't think those things could have been put any better. I am so glad you are doing good now!! I still remember that time a few months ago when you were sooooooooo down on yourself. It makes me smile to "hear" the joy in your voice now!! Keep it up, and keep in touch!!
Girl, you crack me up. I could have written this entry. I have been one of those people that my friends want to hurt (2 buddies have also had band surgery) and I appreciate your kind words of non-violence. Even though the weight has come off, I have experienced every struggle you outlined. I have thought those thoughts and dealt with it too.
Thanks for your wonderful sense of humor. You really made me smile!
Love, Riah
Jewels *hug* you're such an awesome example of how to really stick with things and you've always been a great contributor around here! Happy anniversary!
Banded 03/22/06 276/261/184 (highest/surgery/lowest)
Sleeved 07/11/2013 228/165 (surgery/current) (111lbs lost)
Mom to two of the cutest boys on earth.
Loved the post! I'm also so happy to see you around because I remmeber a while ago when you were seriously questioning whether you should have had the surgery.
Acutally I found that there is a point when cookies, etc., will go down, but not much of them. Unfortunately, being that tight leads to soft food syndrome and I've been there. Right now I'm a bit too loose and having a difficult time dealing with that, but I feel that I'm getting closer to the right spot. I'd laughed so hard at the image of you at Thanksgiving with the timer -- no one must have wanted to linger at the table with the timere going off.
Keep putting one foot in front of the other and best wishes.
